Simple pea soup

Pea soup

Pea soup or split pea soup is soup made typically from dried peas, such as the split pea. It is, with variations, a part of the cuisine of many cultures. It is greyish-green or yellow in color depending on the regional variety of peas used; all are cultivars of Pisum sativum. [Source: Wikipedia]

We'll need:

Dry beans - 500gr
Beef or lamb - 400 gr
Onion -1 medium size
Mustard - 1tbsp
Salt and pepper on taste

We'll do:

1. clean and wash beans, and leave them overnight in a bowl filled with cold water.

2. The next day defrost meat.

3. Chop meat into medium sized pieces and cook it together with beans. Cook them on medium heat.

4. On the early stage of cooking stay near the stove and collect the foam from the top of the water. Foam is being accumulated in before water gets boiled.

5. Once water is boiled, reduce the heat, add slat, peppers, mustard and chopped onions. Cover the lead and let it cook for 1-1.5 hours until meat and beans get ready. When they are ready, take the pan from the stove, and take meats from the soup. Separate bones from the meat, chop meat pieces to even smaller pieces and add meat back to the soup.

6. Enjoy the soup with several lemon juice drops :)
