Coffee and cocoa cake - Mokkapalat

Coffee cake - Mokkapalat

Thank you my dear friend Hanna for introducing this lovely bakery to me! :)

Get some of these:

For base:

Eggs - 4
Sugar - 3dl
Baking powder - 2tsp
Vanilla sugar - 1tsp
Flour for bakery - 5dl
Milk - 1.5dl
Butter - 150 gr

For the topping:

Cocoa powder - 5tbsp
Vanilla sugar - 2tsp
Sugar - 2tbsp
Butter - 100gr
Fresh brewed coffee - 0.5 dl

Let's get it going!

1. Mix sugar and eggs in a bowl.

2. In a separate bowl mix vanilla sugar, baking powder and flour. When it's done, mix both mixtures in a one big bowl. Mix

3. Add warm milk and melted butter into the mixture and mix them well altogether.

4. Pour the mixture onto the baking sheet in baking tray and bake it in preheated oven in 200C, approximately 15 minutes untill crust becomes light brown.

5. When crust is ready take it from the oven and let remain on the table to cool.

6. Meanwhile prepare the topping, by stirring together vanilla sugar, butter, cocoa, sugar and coffee. Pour coffee little by little until the mixture becomes like a mousse (it should be  a bit loose). Let the mixture cool for 15-20 minutes in a cool room.

7. Afterwards, pour cocoa mixture on top of the crust so it cover it very well. Try to do it as soon as you pour it, because, after a while topping gets dry.

8. Leave the cake in the fridge to cool. Enjoy! :)
